Great looking, fun, and convenient baking casserole! November 30, 2009 Marissa Ivy 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I purchased the four-quart version in the vivid orange color as I wanted something noteworthy to transport and serve my holiday side dish I was taking to a dinner party. While the high handles make it a bit more difficult to fit into the oven or microwave, it did just fit into my friend's smaller-size microwave as I needed to reheat it just a bit--and it's a rather whimsical piece that is sure to start conversation. While it can't be used on the stovetop, the fact that it can go into the freezer, the microwave, and the oven is a big plus--and the fact that it comes with a lid made it even handier though I wrapped a sheet of foil over the top of the casserole before putting the lid on for transport. A set of the various other pieces in this range would be a great gift for a cook or a treat to add to one's own kitchen.
I want one! January 31, 2010 Desert Rat (Tucson, AZ, USA) I bought this as a gift for my sister who told me she had seen and liked it. I loved it so much that I wanted one. Nice style, and she said it's great to use. If it cam in red, I'd be all over it!
Love It! Just in Time! February 5, 2010 L. D. Adcock (Chattanooga, TN) I love the Rachael Ray "Casseround". It arrived in a timely manner and just in time to use for my holiday dinner.
Because it is so pleasing to look at, I baked and then served in it. Very versatile piece of stoneware.
very nice February 17, 2010 cardex (St. Louis MO United States) I was pleasantly suppressed by the 2.75 Casserround the first thing that I cooked in it I managed to burn to a crisp (my fault read the directions wrong had the oven at 450 when it should have been 350) even with backed on cheese and potatoes the dish cleaned up without the need for any hard scrubbing. The next time I made something it turned out perfectly. The handles stay cool even when the food inside is bubbling away, and it goes right from the oven to the fridge so no need to dirty a second dish for leftovers.
The only downside to the Casserround is that it is much taller then most similar items so you may want to check it in your oven before the first time you use it and adjust the rack spacing if needed.
Wonderful... March 18, 2010 M. Mulvey (Warwick, RI) So pretty, versitile and wonderful! We can use it from microwave to the table or oven to table. The color is fantastic and the handles make it so easy to grab, hold and not drop! LOL!
