The Panasonic Genius Prestige Convection Microwave Oven has 1100 Watts of power with inverter turbo defrost and 1.5 cubic feet of space. Panasonic Inverter Turbo Defrost technology is an advanced microwave sequencing system using the Inverter low-power delivery feature. This design makes it possible to distribute microwave energy with the most appropriate combination of regularity and irregularity. Keep warm and simmer features help you keep your food warm until you are ready to eat. A pulsing delivery of very low microwave power keeps the temperature of your food at a constant level without overcooking. The improved keep-warm menu now includes five items, so food like stew, gravy and desserts can stay warm in the oven until you are ready to serve. One-Touch Sensor Cooking adjusts power levels and calculates cooking times automatically, making reheating and cooking a variety of foods easier than ever. The Stainless Fingerprint Resistant finish on the front of the Genius Prestige Microwave Oven helps reduce the amount of unsightly smudging normally found on stainless appliances. The powerful and quiet exhaust fan gets rid of those unwanted odors. With three-speed operation, high, low, and turbo, this fan is powerful enough to remove unwanted food odors from your kitchen, without the annoyance of excessive noise. The turbo fan setting, at an extremely fast speed of 300 CFM will refresh the air in your kit

So far so good March 3, 2009 L. Jenkins (Nevada USA) 38 out of 40 found this review helpful
I bought this oven one week ago to replace a Sharp model R-930CS convection microwave, which I had been using for almost 2 years. The black display on the Sharp was hard to read and the microwave didn't work as well as the $79 one I use at work. It was really a leap of faith to buy another convection microwave expecting different results but I found an outstanding deal on Ebay so I took the plunge.
So far this oven has met all of my expectations. It heats my frozen entrees completely and it does a great job popping popcorn. It even has 3 different levels for popping different sized bags. The sensor reheat works well too.
I've even had a couple of happy surprises. First of all I noticed this oven is really nice looking. Not only are the buttons easier to read than the touchpad I used before but they have a stylish high quality appearance. I also like the ceramic turntable more than the metal one I had before. It may not contain large spills as well but I'm guessing it'll be easier to clean.
The biggest surprise for me has been how intuitive/user-friendly the controls have been. After selecting the function I want to use (e.g. microwave, convection, sensor cook, etc.), the next appropriate button or knob lights up so there's no need to read the text message to know which step to take next. I've barely had to refer to the instruction manual at all.
I haven't had a chance to use the convection oven yet so I'll have to come back and update my review when I do. I guess I'm just not as wary about the convection functions because all of the problems I had with my previous oven were related to the microwave functions. Of course reliability will take much longer to determine too. But so far so good!
Update after 3 months - This is definately the right oven for me. I've pretty much used all of its features now and I can't think of any negatives. The convection oven works great and the ceramic tray is a breeze to wash. I haven't regretted my decision for a moment.
Preaching to the Converted December 5, 2008 Ruffwood (Australia) 27 out of 28 found this review helpful
I have to admit that I was not in love with the idea of a Panasonic product, having had the misfortune to purchase a TV and DVD that both went belly up within a relatively short priod of time - just out of warranty. Anyway, I was replacing my Sharp Carousel Convection as the mica plate had blown twice and it was not economical to keep replacing it. So with much reluctance, I took a punt on the Panasonic. Frankly, it is fantastic. It is whisper quiet, cooks extremely well - recipe prompting actually works and the Grill is sensational. Would I buy it again? You bet. I am now completely converted and trying new recipes with confidence.
Great Microwave Convecton June 26, 2007 Lincoln R. Sander (Sandy Hook, CT USA) 42 out of 46 found this review helpful
To the best of my knowledge this is the largest Microwave/Convection oven available that can be used counter-top or built in. We purchased one for our old house 20 years ago and it just died after much use. We were glad they still make the same product size wise but with many updates.

No, it's not cheap . . . February 8, 2007 Philip Donahue (Chester River MD) 42 out of 47 found this review helpful
but it does everything it's supposed to do, and it does it beautifully. I have to put on my glasses to read the button labels but less subtle labels would detract from the overall attractive appearance. Besides, the controls are intuitive and I almost have them memorized anyway. This is a terrific unit.
I love this oven! December 8, 2007 Terry Hendricks 26 out of 28 found this review helpful
I bought this oven to replace my microwave and I am very pleased. Its great to have a second oven and microwave all in one. I use the convection and microwave every day. It works great. High quality.
